For newborn babies, we encourage the parents to contact the insurance companies as soon as possible after hospital discharge. Please be aware that most health insurance plans allow 30 days to add your newborn on the policy.

If you have coverage through Medicaid, you must contact the Medicaid office to receive and activate the child’s member identification number. Make your Primary care Physician selection at the same time to avoid any delays in providing the medical care to your newborn.

If your child does not have any medical coverage, you will be required to pay for the services.
